The Public Ethics Commission’s Transparency Project aims to assess Oakland City government’s current openness and transparency, facilitate improvements, and recommend actions to further the Commission's goals of ensuring fairness, openess, honesty, and integrity in City government. As part of this project, the Public Ethics Commission is hosting an informational hearing on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, to explore current practices and emerging trends in open government. Speakers will discuss open government concepts, share examples of innovations in government transparency, and respond to questions from Commissioners and the public. The goal of the Transparency Project is to outline a vision for transparency and open government in Oakland. Join us on this journey!
